At Look Natural Hair Restoration, we approach each and every FUT and FUE hair transplant procedure with the utmost care. Leveraging our unparalleled medical expertise and fantastic customer service, we deliver results that our patients are truly happy with, time and time again.

Throughout the course of 2020, in which the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the entire world, we at Look Natural Hair Restoration continue our dedication to protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff.

The precautions we take are based on the latest advice from the NJ Department of Health (NJDOH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We continue to monitor all alert levels. Take a look at the ways in which we’re adapting our services:

  • In order to protect both patients and staff, we are limiting our office visits. We offer either in-office or tele- consults.
  • We have a restricted number of patients that are booked in to visit the office in order to allow our staff extra time to sanitize surfaces and exam rooms in between visits.
  • At our patient’s scheduled appointment time, we ask that they remain in their vehicle. There, a staff member will greet them, take their temperature and provide them with a brief medical questionnaire to complete.
  • All patients will be escorted into the office by a staff member. A face covering must be worn when entering the office. If patients do not have a face covering of their own we will provide them with one.
  • Appointments are limited to the patients only, unless there is a physical need for assistance, in which case one visitor will be able to accompany the patient as long as they are not sick, have been exposed or think they have been exposed to the coronavirus.

We have found these methods very effective in keeping our staff and patients safe and healthy, whilst still being able to run and access our premium suite of services.

So, what can patients expect during the COVID-19 pandemic when getting an FUT or FUE hair transplant? Whether a patient is looking for a more dense and thick hairline, or improved coverage across the scalp, FUT and FUE methods are generally incredibly popular and effective. Our COVID-19 procedures ensure that they can receive this treatment in the safest way possible.

We will outline the Look Natural Hair Restoration procedure, below.

FUT Procedure

After your complimentary consultation either in-office or through tele-consult, we will schedule your appointment for the FUT procedure. On the day itself, you will arrive at the Look Natural Hair Restoration facility and stay in your car. From there, you will text or call a member of our staff who will come outside and greet you. You’ll have your temperature taken and you’ll complete a short questionnaire. We will then escort you into the facility, wearing a face mask. Once you’re settled, you will be taken to the procedure room and the FUT procedure will begin.

To begin the FUT procedure, a thin section of hair from the donor area is shaved and numbed with a local anesthetic. The strip of donor tissue is then taken from the back of the scalp and the incision sutured in a way that produces minimal scarring. The hair above the donor area is usually long enough to cover the donor area, meaning that no signs of the procedure are visible from the back.

The strip taken from the patient’s scalp may contain thousands of follicles. The recipient sites are created wherever necessary across the scalp. While the recipient sites are being created, highly skilled technicians dissect the strip into individual grafts which consist of 1, 2 or 3 follicles each.

Dr. Ross creates the recipient sites using an instrument like a small scalpel or needle. Each recipient site is carefully created so that the angle and placement of the grafts specifically matches the angle and pattern of your natural hair. This ensures that your new growth blends seamlessly with any existing hair and looks completely natural.

FUE Procedure

Our COVID-19 procedure remains the same for an FUE procedure, too. You will have a complimentary consultation either in-office or through tele-consult with our friendly team, and then we will schedule your appointment for the FUE procedure.

On the day itself, you will arrive at the Look Natural Hair Restoration facility and stay in your car. From there, you will text or call a member of our staff who will come outside and greet you. You’ll have your temperature taken and you’ll complete a short questionnaire. We will then escort you in to the facility, wearing a face mask. Once you’re settled, you will be taken to the procedure room and the FUT procedure will begin.

FUE is popular because it’s a highly precise method in which each graft required for the transplant is individually extracted, avoiding a linear scar. After the grafts are obtained, they are gently placed into the recipient sites where the natural elasticity of the scalp locks them in place ready for the healing process.

After identifying the areas to be transplanted, Dr. Ross uses his discerning aesthetic eye to design a new hairline if necessary. To begin the procedure, the donor area, which is usually at the back and/or sides of the scalp is prepped by shaving the hair down to about 1mm in length and the scalp is numbed with a local anesthetic.

The grafts are then extracted using small skin punches that are less than 1mm in diameter. Each graft may contain 1, 2 or 3 follicles. Dr. Ross then creates the recipient sites using an instrument like a small scalpel or needle. Each recipient site is carefully created so that the angle and placement of the grafts specifically matches the angle and pattern of your natural hair. This ensures that your new growth blends seamlessly with any existing hair and looks completely natural.
